This Pentax Rear Converter 2x is a teleconverter for the medium format Pentax 6x7 system. It doubles the focal length of attached lenses, turning them into even more telephoto lenses.  This doubling of focal length comes at the loss of two stops of light.  For example, a 400mm f4 becomes an 800mm f8 lens.

This is the outer bayonet version of the Pentax 67 Rear Converter 2x. It is only compatible with Pentax 67 lenses that use an outer bayonet mounting such as the Pentax 400mm, 600mm and 800mm lenses.  It will not work on shorter focal length lenses that lack this outer bayonet mount.
